Job Description:

IT Manager is responsible for leading and managing the organization’s technology infrastructure, IT operations, systems, and support services. The role ensures the reliability, security, and efficiency of all IT systems while driving technology improvements that support business operations. The IT Manager provides strategic direction, manages IT resources, and ensures seamless technology solutions across all departments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement IT strategies, policies, and procedures aligned with business objectives.
  • Lead and manage the IT department, ensuring efficient daily operations and technical support.
  • Oversee the installation, maintenance, and performance of IT infrastructure including servers, networks, hardware, and software systems.
  • Ensure smooth operation of hotel technology systems including PMS, POS, ERP, Wi-Fi, CCTV, access control, and communication systems.
  • Manage system security, cybersecurity measures, data protection, and disaster recovery procedures.
  • Monitor IT performance and implement solutions to improve system reliability and efficiency.
  • Manage IT budgets, technology investments, and resource planning.
  • Evaluate, select, and manage relationships with IT vendors and service providers.
  • Oversee IT projects including system upgrades, integrations, and new technology implementations.
  • Establish and maintain IT documentation, asset records, licenses, and compliance records.
  • Ensure regular backups, system monitoring, and preventive maintenance are carried out.
  • Manage user access controls and ensure compliance with information security policies.
  • Provide leadership, training, and development support to IT team members.
  • Coordinate with department heads to identify technology requirements and improvement opportunities.
  • Ensure timely resolution of technical issues and minimize operational disruptions.
  • Stay updated with emerging technologies and recommend improvements to enhance operational efficiency.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
  • Professional certifications such as Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA), Microsoft Certified Solutions Associate (MCSA), or similar qualifications will be an advantage.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in IT operations, including 2–3 years in a managerial or supervisory role.
  • Previous experience in the hospitality industry, luxury hotels, or resorts is highly preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of IT infrastructure, networking, servers, cybersecurity, and system administration.
  • Experience managing hospitality technology platforms such as PMS, POS, and integrated hotel systems.
  • Strong leadership, project management, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
  • Ability to manage budgets, vendors, and technology projects effectively.
  • Strong analytical skills with attention to detail.
  • Ability to work under pressure and provide solutions in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience supporting luxury hotel operations and multi-department technology requirements.
  • Knowledge of cloud solutions, virtualization, cybersecurity frameworks, and IT governance.
  • Experience with systems such as Oracle Hospitality OPERA Cloud, MICROS Simphony, and other hospitality platforms.
  • Strong understanding of network security, data privacy, and compliance requirements.
  • Ability to lead digital transformation initiatives and improve operational efficiency.
