Job Description:
IT Assistant Manager supports the IT Manager in managing the organization’s technology operations, infrastructure, and support services. The role assists in maintaining IT systems, supervising technical operations, resolving issues, and ensuring reliable, secure, and efficient technology solutions across all departments. The IT Assistant Manager plays a key role in supporting daily IT operations and implementing technology improvements.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist the IT Manager in managing daily IT operations and technical support activities.
- Supervise and guide IT Executives and support staff to ensure efficient service delivery.
- Provide technical support for hardware, software, networks, and system-related issues.
- Monitor and maintain servers, network infrastructure, Wi-Fi systems, and communication systems.
- Support the administration and maintenance of hotel systems including PMS, POS, CCTV, access control, and other operational applications.
- Assist in managing user accounts, access permissions, and system security controls.
- Perform troubleshooting, system monitoring, and preventive maintenance activities.
- Support data backup procedures, recovery processes, and cybersecurity practices.
- Maintain IT asset inventories, software licenses, and technical documentation.
- Assist in implementing IT projects, system upgrades, and technology improvements.
- Coordinate with external vendors and service providers for technical support and maintenance.
- Monitor IT incidents and ensure timely resolution to minimize operational disruptions.
- Assist in preparing IT reports, performance reviews, and maintenance schedules.
- Provide training and technical guidance to users on IT systems and applications.
- Ensure compliance with company IT policies, security standards, and operational procedures.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Networking, or a related field.
- Professional certifications such as Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA), Microsoft Certified Solutions Associate (MCSA), or equivalent will be an advantage.
- Minimum 4 years of experience in IT support, system administration, or infrastructure management, with experience in a supervisory role.
- Previous experience in a hotel, resort, or hospitality environment is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of networking, hardware troubleshooting, operating systems, and IT infrastructure.
- Experience supporting PMS, POS, CCTV, and hospitality technology systems.
- Good understanding of cybersecurity, backups, and data protection practices.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Good leadership, communication, and team coordination abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively under pressure.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with luxury hotels or multi-property hospitality environments.
- Knowledge of systems such as Oracle Hospitality OPERA Cloud, MICROS Simphony, and other hotel technology platforms.
- Experience managing IT projects, vendor coordination, and system implementations.
- Knowledge of cloud services, virtualization, and network security.
- Strong documentation and reporting skills.
- Professional approach with a focus on reliability, teamwork, and service excellence.
