Job Description:
The Digital Marketing Executive / Assistant Manager is responsible for planning, executing, and optimizing digital marketing strategies to enhance brand awareness, generate leads, increase direct bookings, and maximize online revenue. This role oversees digital campaigns, website performance, social media marketing, online reputation management, and analytics to support the hotel's commercial objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute digital marketing strategies to increase brand visibility, website traffic, and revenue.
- Plan, manage, and optimize paid advertising campaigns across Google Ads, Meta (Facebook & Instagram), LinkedIn, and other digital platforms.
- Manage the hotel's website, ensuring content is up-to-date, SEO-optimized, and user-friendly.
- Monitor and improve search engine rankings through SEO best practices and keyword optimization.
- Oversee email marketing campaigns, promotional newsletters, and CRM marketing initiatives.
- Analyze campaign performance using Google Analytics, Meta Business Suite, and other reporting tools, providing actionable insights and recommendations.
- Collaborate with the Sales & Marketing team to develop integrated marketing campaigns and promotional activities.
- Manage online reputation by monitoring guest reviews and coordinating responses across review platforms.
- Stay updated on digital marketing trends, emerging technologies, and competitor activities to recommend innovative strategies.
- Coordinate with designers, photographers, content creators, and external agencies to deliver high-quality marketing materials.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Digital Marketing, Marketing, Business Administration, Hospitality Management, or a related field.
- Minimum 2–5 years' experience in digital marketing, preferably within the hospitality, tourism, or lifestyle industry. (Assistant Manager candidates should have at least 4–5 years of relevant experience with leadership responsibilities.)
- Strong knowledge of Google Ads, Meta Ads Manager, Google Analytics (GA4), SEO, SEM, email marketing, and content marketing.
- Experience with CMS platforms (e.g., WordPress), CRM systems, and marketing automation tools.
- Proficiency in Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, CapCut, or other content creation and design software.
- Strong analytical, project management, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English; Sinhala and/or Tamil will be an added advantage.
- Ability to manage multiple campaigns, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Hospitality industry experience and knowledge of OTAs, booking engines, and digital distribution channels will be a distinct advantage.
