We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Food & Beverage Manager to oversee and elevate the culinary and dining experiences at a distinguished luxury boutique hotel in the Galle District.

Position Overview

As Food & Beverage Manager, you will be responsible for the strategic and operational leadership of all food and beverage operations, including the restaurant, bar, private dining experiences, in-room dining, and special events. You will work closely with the culinary team to deliver authentic, high-quality experiences while ensuring commercial success and operational excellence

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage the daily operations of all food and beverage outlets.
  • Develop and implement service standards that align with the property's luxury positioning.
  • Partner with the Executive Chef to create innovative menus that showcase seasonal ingredients and local culinary influences.
  • Drive revenue growth through effective pricing strategies, promotions, and guest engagement initiatives.
  • Monitor budgets, control costs, and ensure departmental profitability targets are achieved.
  • Recruit, mentor, and develop a highly motivated service team committed to excellence.
  • Maintain the highest standards of food safety, hygiene, and regulatory compliance.
  • Oversee banquet operations, private functions, and bespoke guest experiences.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and local producers to ensure product quality and consistency.

Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • A minimum of 5 years' experience in a Food & Beverage leadership role within a luxury hotel, boutique property, upscale resort, or fine dining environment.
  • Strong operational knowledge across restaurant, bar, banquet, and event management functions.
  • A sound understanding of food and beverage trends, wine knowledge, beverage programmes, and guest experience design.
  • Excellent financial management skills, including budgeting, forecasting, cost control, and revenue optimisation.
  • Proven leadership abilities with a hands-on approach to team development and service delivery.
  • Experience managing weddings, private events, and special functions will be highly advantageous.
  • A Degree, Diploma, or professional qualification in Hospitality Management, Food & Beverage Management, or a related discipline is preferred.
  • Strong command of English; proficiency in Sinhala and/or Tamil will be an added advantage.
